TikTok star turned country musician returns to Raleigh for hometown concert

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) – From TikTok to country music stardom, Raleigh native Priscilla Block is still in shock.

“It was unreal. I never thought TikTok would be the avenue that would break all of this,” Block said.

In August 2020, Block released their song “Just About Over You”. The following month, she signs a recording contract.

“It was crazy. It happened pretty quickly. It was wild,” she said.

Now, over a year later, she will be on stage in front of a local audience.

“It’s really just a full time where I can come back and play this show and see old friends and catch up with myself,” Block said.

Yet while this gig may represent the end of a circle, Block says she’s just getting started. In November, she released her new single “Peaked in High School” and performed to huge crowds while touring with Ashley McBryde.

This weekend is all about giving back to the community that raised her and hopefully inspiring the next dreamer.

“If there’s a little girl out there, it’s like you can seriously do whatever you want, and don’t let anyone tell you you can’t,” Block said.

If you want to see Priscilla Block perform, she’ll be at the Lincoln Theater on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. You can buy tickets here.
