Here’s a recap of recent music industry jobs — including internal hires and promotions — as of June 14, 2022.

As part of a “major expansion of its operations in Spanish-speaking Latin America”, Downtown Music Services has recruited Daniela Gutiérrez as Marketing Manager for Mexico and promoted Bogota-based Deezer veteran Estefanía Parra to Marketing Manager. A&R and partnerships for LatAm.

Additionally, Martin Liviciche and Juan Nuñez transferred to DMS from Downtown’s CD Baby. Based in Buenos Aires, Liviciche is now in charge of business development for DMS and FUGA in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, while Nuñez is marketing manager for LatAm.


ONErpm announced the opening of five additional offices in Africa – in Accra, Ghana; Abidjan, Ivory Coast ; Nairobi, Kenya; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and Johannesburg, South Africa – after arriving in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2020.

And to staff these new African offices, ONerpm appointed two-year team member Osagie Osarenz as Director of African Operations and made several senior appointments.

Specifically, Almah Salum is the ONerpm Country Manager in Dar es Salaam, while George Avakian has accepted the same role in Johannesburg and Bilha Ngaruiya is filling the post in Nairobi.

Finally, ONerpm appointed Mutuma Vincent as Marketing Manager in Nairobi, appointed former Crux Global COO Florence Delali Kpeglo as Country Manager in Accra, and tapped Afi Cakpo to lead Francophone Africa in Abidjan.

Xavier University of Louisiana

Dr. Anderson Sunda-Meya, who in July 2021 became Acting Dean of Xavier University’s College of Arts and Sciences, has been officially named full-time Dean.

Bethel Music

Bethel Music co-founder Jenn Johnson has become interim president and CEO of the label, which also revealed a series of promotions.

In her Redding office, Bethel elevated 11-year company veteran Katie Langenberg to chief financial officer, four-year employee Blake Citro to head of events, two-year team member Vanessa Nulick as head of operations, seven-year-old staffer Balt Pazos as head of corporate strategy, and Eric Allen (who has also been with Bethel for seven years) as director of creative publishing.

And in the Nashville office, Erica Boutwell (three years with Bethel Music) is officially head of communications, and Adrian Thompson (nine months with Bethel) is now head of A&R. Finally, a certain Matt Lopez, who worked in Redding’s office for four years, will move to Nashville this summer.


Crowdguard, which markets itself as “the specialist in event security management and perimeter protection”, announced Iain Moran (formerly at ATG Access) as its partner and managing director.

Wasserman Music has promoted five bookers – Laura Brown, Cecilia Chan, Suzie Melki, Lucy Putman and Holly Rowland – to agents in its London office.
